Wow, BGG actually said something useful.

After reading his mention of a Game Crazy clearance sale, I popped into
the local GC I used to work at. Asked the one guy working there about
it, he had no idea about it. The one shift lead was in the office on the
phone with the manager. They were discussing the sale as I walked into
the store. The manager had told him to make sure to call me, and a few
other guys to make sure we knew about the sale. So there is indeed a
clearance sale starting the 28th.

I had a few items put aside for myself, some for my collections, some for
resale/trade.

Genesis
Virtua Fighter 2 - $9.99
Castlevania: Bloodlines - $9.99

Playstation
Magic: The Gathering Battlemage - $19.99
Grand Theft Auto: Director's Cut - $12.99
Xenogears - $24.99
Diablo (2 player edition) - $29.99

Nintendo 64
Paper Mario - $29.99
Super Smash Bros - $24.99
Dr Mario - $19.99
Mario 64 - $19.99
Goldeneye - $12.99
New Tetris - $29.99
Perfect Dark - $6.99

Super Nintendo
Super Mario Kart - $19.99
Super Punch-Out - $14.99
Legend of Zelda: LttP - $19.99

NES
Romance of the Three Kingdoms - $9.99

Dreamcast
Sonic Adventure 2 - $24.99
Dead or Alive 2 - $14.99
Star Wars Ep. 1 Racer - $19.99
Alone in the Dark - $9.99

Total Retail Cost - $387.79 + tax
What I'm Paying - $105 + tax

Might pull one or two more games out tomorrow when I stop in to pick
those up.

I had read about this sale on another forum, so I hit the one Gamecrazy
store in my town. Looks like word got out big time as there were already
two guys there buying a ton of stuff. I did get some nice scores though to
fill some holes in the collection:

N64
-----

Yoshi's Story
Mario 64
Zelda: Majora's Mask

Gameboy
-----------
Dragon Warrior III
Wario Land
Wario Land 2
Wario Land 3
Zelda: Oracle of Ages
Mario Tennis
Kirby's Dream Land
Kirby's Dream Land 2
Harvest Moon
Bionic Commando
R Type DX
Donkey Kong
Mega Man
Resident Evil Gaiden
Gradius

......and Adventure Island for free since it wasn't in the computer. :)

All the PSX and N64 games were picked over big time.... and I pretty
much have everything I want already for the DC. No one was touching much of
the old school Gameboy however. Time to give my neglected NES style GBA SP
a workout. :p

This is so dang tempting too that I have a feeling I'll be back over
there this weekend to see what's left. Did anyone else get any nice deals?
How about you Space Boss? Man, it's been forever since I've typed out a
brag post.....

If anyone sees the SNES Mario RPG and doesn't want/need it, I would love to
get one. The stores here didn't have it.

Dane.

It was too bad that majority of the PSone and Dreamcast games had broken
cases and no instructions.... Those certainly weren't worth $5

I typically only buy N64 games if they are in original boxes...

Really odd that 99% of their Sega games were loose (considering they came in
plastic boxes originally)

No obscure NES titles

No obscure SNES titles

I bet it was picked through by the workers ahead of time :(

Bought a FF Origins (whooops already owned it!) and couple Dreamcast
titles....

I can't wait for the garage sales to kick in full force!

Went into the local GC and didn't seen anyone there shopping, nor
any signs indicating a sale. Only when I inquired did they mention
the sale. Buttt...I was able to get three games I have wanted and
were still there...
Zelda:Link's Awakening (original GB version)
Dragon Warrior 1&2 (GBC)
Duke Nukem 3D (Sega Saturn).

There were still a number of higher-priced games that would be included
in this sale, like DC DoA 2 (already have) and Phantasy Star 4.
Actually, their selection was pretty much the same as they usually
have (believe me, I looked to see if they had the SNES Final Fantasys
or Chrono Trigger...they never have them). But I am happy
with what I got.

Went back today and bought a gold copy of Majora's Mask, Mario Tennis,
and Mario 64 for N64. Pickings were on the slim side today.

Went back in earlier today; except for some titles gone (including
Phantasy Star 4), most were still there. Spent 15 more bucks to get:
Super Mario Land 2 (GB)
Fighter Maker (PSX)
Dark Savior (Saturn).
I was talking to the cashier and he mentioned that at a
GC north of here, someone had bought 800 dollars worth of
games and nearly cleaned them out.

I updated my list with all the new stuff I bought today

http://toomanygames.com/games.txt

The games without prices next to them is what I bought today. They didn't
even have all the good stuff out on the floor. They brought me 3 BIG boxes
FULL of NES games to rummage through, most the NES games came from there,
the rest came off a display they had on the floor.
