i would like to be able to do some gaming as i will be doing some game programming. things like Spore, TF2, just some simple games, preferably high resolution

watching movies, programming games, some character and level design for games

this laptop will be shared between my mom and i for the next year or 2, until i go to college. i will be taking 2 classes on programming with this laptop, so it needs to be able to function for game programming. my mom doesnt have any real needs other than using the internet.
