Back in the days of the 1st generation Core i3/i5/i7 CPUs there was no model number for the Intel HD graphics core. It was just called Intel HD Graphics and it was part of the North Bridge chip, not integrated into the CPU. That did not happen until Intel released the 2nd generation Core i3/i5/i7 CPUs.

Ah, okay.

Well, since Intel HD Graphics with numbers can barely play games at low settings I guess yours can't even play minecraft (my old system with an intel series express chipset family 4 couldn't even play the sims 3).

Windows 7 32-bit cannot address that much RAM. You will only see about about 3.2GB - 3.3GB if 4GB+ were to be installed. You need a 64-bit OS for the laptop to be able to use 4GB+ RAM.

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do. The Intel HD Graphics version 3 is a bit weak. The following link leads you to Youtube were someone recorded game play using the slightly older and weaker Intel GMA 4500m graphics core in some game. You should watch them to get an idea of how well / poorly the Intel HD Graphics core can do in slightly older games.

I would guess it should be capable of playing non graphically demanding games from 2007 and before. You can go to Gog.com to purchase some older games that have been revised to run on modern PCs. It seems they are currently having a sale on a few old games.

I think you can play hl1, cs 1.6 and warcraft on garena with your friends though. Those games never get old (I don't like MOBAs, but hl1 is pretty fun to play with friends
