gaming and school laptop

I am looking for a laptop mainly for school and gaming. I honestly don't know much about specs, ram, etc. All I know is that I need a laptop that can web browse, create powerpoints, and run Steam games and Minecraft without lag. Battery is also VERY important to me, as I will be moving around a lot. I would prefer to stay under the $1300 mark. If anyone could find me a laptop like this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Edit: Basically I need a laptop to act as a macbook and still can play games.

would a razer blade stealth be good?

Gaming on battery isn't a good idea, all modern laptops will have okay battery life during normal school tasks. In my opinion if you're going to use it for anything in public, not just in your den playing games, get something that looks classier and grown up, not the razer blade. Check out the Acer v15 nitro. Or the HP Omen. Or the Dell 7559. They all come with nice looking hardware, and the 960m gpu.

Do up you know how long the ROG gl552 battery lasts when not gaming?
And can anyone recommend a semi gaming laptop with at least 7-8 hrs of battery when not gaming?
