Neither of those games has been released yet. It's not really fair to ask anyone else to guess for you.

If playing on HIGH is that important to you and you want to be sure? You'll need to wait till the games are released and tested on that type of hardware you're looking at.

Or maybe find a Skyrim or D3 game forum and check with the people there. Let them make an educated guess for you.

if i could give you some advice.... if you are in college now wait a little longer to get something. you dont quite know what you are going to need and how much time you have to play games. if you arent in college wait a year till you are. i suspect that you are in or are going to be in a major that has less work since you say your going to have a job so that helps.

a 560m is a good choice and equiped with a 2630qm you should get about 4 hours of battery.

I'd get the Asus G53SW-XN1 Laptop: i7 2630QM, GTX 460M, 6GB DDR3, 500GB 7200rpm, 15.6" LED (1920x1080), 8-Cell battery, $793 After $100 Rebate + Free Shipping

The GTX 460M is a high-end mobile card. It can play the majority of games on high at 1080p. They're discussing it in slickdeals here if you want more info: http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/58572/newegg-asus-g53swxn1-laptop-i7-2630qm-2.0ghz-quad-core-cpu-6gb-ddr3-500gb-hdd-15.6-led-1920x1080-wifi-n-8cell-win-7-prem

It's on the low end of your budget, but it's a great deal IMO.

EDIT: I forgot the product link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230027&Tpk=N82E16834230027
