gaming laptop advice

Hi all, I'm hoping for a little help, I work away from home a lot and get bored so thinking of my options with regards to mobile gaming. Yeah I like the mobile games but my query is more around laptops or small case pcs. I mean people go to lan parties so assuming portability is getting better. . . This being said I'm sometimes overseas and a heavy case would be a pain.

Any suggestions for a good mid range gaming laptop? Around £600? Or am I looking at it the wrong way and should just get a console? Help!

Games I like are mainly racing or first person shooters, so would more than likely get myself a gaming mouse and keyboard to take away too.

Any thoughts from fellow travelling gamers?

with that budget, I wouldn't consider any laptop in that price range to be suitable for gaming.
