gaming laptop help

so i has wondering what kind of gaming laptops everyone thinks would be good. now my budget for this is $1500-$1800. right now im planning on an alienware 17 with an upgraded ram kit in it and a graphics card but i was wondering if theres another laptop that could beat it for less or the same price. also if theres no laptop that can beat it i was wondering if i should skip out on the graphics card and stick with the GTX 765m and get a 1080p screen upgrade for it or get the GTX 770m and stick with the default 900p screen. thanks looking forward to your replies

quick update i think im going to get the 18 with the bare necessities and slowly upgrade the parts as i go and neverrazor i looked at that laptop and my friend happens to have that and i dont like the way it looks plus it is a pain to upgrade witch i love having the option of doing which i plan to do with the alienware but still open to ideas im not buying till christmas when they all go on sale

nope sorry found at the dimensions of the 18 and it is thicker then my cable box so no on that so im going with the 17 with the 1080p screen upgrade and thats it
