What is the best gaming laptop that i can get that is under a grand?

the GL551JM from ASUS will probably be the best bang for your buck right now, it is a bit more than 1,000 but it's great. The next best option in my opinion would be the Lenovo Y50.

Phils suggestion of the Y50 is probably the best bag for buck you can get, there is also custom laptop re sellers. Try Xiotic pc if you're US based and you can get a large choice of chassis, ram and other components compared to just buying them from an E-Tailer. http://www.xoticpc.com/force-16gc-29029-860m-msi-ge60-apachepro-barebones-p-7173.html?wconfigure=yes is a good spec laptop just under $1000, try to pair a 850m/860m GPU with any config you want and you're set to go.
