6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? Guild wars 2, cod ghosts and or bf4 when it comes out on medium settings at least (25 fps minimum in wvw in gw2)

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) matlab, fruity loops

Can't go wrong with the Lenovo Y510P. 1080p screen, backlit keyboard, i7-4700MQ @ up to 3.4Ghz, and a Geforce GT750M, and i just recently bought one for almost exactly $1000 CAD with shipping and tax. You'll be able to add a second 750M via the Ultrabay if you ever feel the need (it's about $200), though one has been enough for playing FF14: ARR on High Laptop settings at ~30-45 FPS, native resolution. If I have a complaint about the base model, the HDD is pretty slow. If you've only been using 5400 RPM HDDs though, you'll feel right at home :p I threw a 240GB SSD in that hoss.

i have a family member that is a government employee, she was saying something about getting discounts at dell. I looked at dell computers but in comparison to that lenovo youd be getting an alienware for 150% the cost of the lenovo so i dont think im going to get any better of a deal there. Also will that lenovo go on sale on black friday? does anyone have an experience with black friday shopping for laptops?
