Gaming over HDMI to HDTV

If i connect my bravia to my laptop will it act as a second monitor or will i just be able to stream pictures, videos?

It is possible that your laptop has a function key that dissables its monitor and it streams only throght the hdmi port. What is your laptop model?

Adding a external monitor can either be used to mirror or be as a main screen. In your rez settings just tell it not to mirror.

HP 2000, it has a HDMI port and the f4key has something like this |[]|

Yea and you just pick 2nd screen only which would be your TV. Your laptop screen will be blank and you will now use your TV screen as the monitor.

The TV will be your huge monitor, and you can shut off your laptop's screen with your function key combo if you wish. It's great for gaming. Give it a try!
