gaming while ac plugged in Yoga 2 13

While gaming on my yoga 2 13, i noticed that the back gets a bit hot and the battery life isn't tooo great so i need to keep the charger plugged in. Do you think it kills the battery since Im very concerned about the battery because it is an ultrabook and the battery isn't easily replaceable so i want it to last long. I do have a cooling pad which seems to keep things cool but i am afraid that i keep the ac plugged in, it will destroy the battery life, while gaming.

Having a laptop always on AC does decrease the battery charge over time and best to let it get down to 20% once a month. Doing it this way, my 4 year old HP charges my battery to 85%, which is not bad in my opinion.
