Solved! Gateway laptop NV53 battery

Hello,
my battery for my brand new laptop only lasts 1 hr. It's the gateway NV53 and it functions very fluently. My brightness is all the way down and bluetooth is off. Are there spare batteries i can buy for the NV53?

If your laptop is brand new, I'd have a word with Gateway about it and get a new battery free of charge before you buy one. The computer should be under warranty for a year.

Just wondering what you ended up doing to fix your issue with the 1hr. battery life with this laptop? I just bought the same laptop brand new and I also have the same problem. Did you call Gateway for a new battery at no extra charge and if you did fix the problem how you went about it ? Thanks
