I will be commuting to College on the train. The ride is about 2 hours each way. I am a Computer Science major and need to have a very fast computer. I already have a gaming desktop so i will not be using the 2 in 1 for that.

I dont have a particular budget but id like nothing more than 1600.

Thanks guys.

Lenovo recently rolled out this Y720 15 2-in-1:

Scroll down and locate the $1.049 Web Special. You get a quad-core Kaby Lake i7 CPU and a 2GB dedicated GTX 1050 card. RAM and storage may seem a bit on the low end, but both components can be upgraded later on.

As a computer science major you are likely to need a powerful quad-core CPU for heavy compilations, and the graphics card will allow you to play fairly sophisticated games. Throw in another $29 to get a ThinkPad Pen to use with the multi-touch AES digitizer panel.

Cheers,
GreyCatz.

Was wondering about the battery life? Is it good?

Lenovo claims up to 10 hours of battery life. However, is average daily usage, definitely no gaming. But brands tend to be overly optimistic on battery life.

Below is a video review of the Lenovo Yoga 720 that I saw a few weeks ago. I think the laptop averages 6 to 7 hours with "average daily usage".
