So I'm someone who is heavily considering going professional with my love for graphics design. The design I usually do is in Adobe after effects and I'm starting to make projects that are becoming more and more time consuming. There's a problem with that, as I also am enrolled in school, so I'm not going to have as much computer time as I usually would. I'm looking for a powerful laptop that I can carry around for when I'm away from my desktop that offers high speeds and high rendering times. I've seen so many people recommend the 15 inch macbook pro 2015 for someone who really needs the power, but what's under the hood doesn't justify the price in my opinion. I am however enjoying the idea of the retina display, but I think that for the type of projects I do it's unnecessary. I can pay the price of a 15 inch macbook later on in the year, I just want to make sure that I get the performance I deserve with that kind of money, as Apple has built a reputation for being overpriced. Do you have any recommendations for laptops that I can purchase that offer high rendering times, the ability to pre render very well(for a laptop at least), have enough RAM for small sections of pre renders in 1080p after effects, has a good battery life, and is under $2,500? Thank you for any recommendations.
