Good Laptop for ProTools First

Hi,
I'm in the market for a new laptop that I will use ProTools First on. I will probably eventually upgrade to the next level of ProTools, but right now I am just starting out. I want a laptop that is
a) a PC
b) under $400

Any suggestions? Thanks!

At the under-$400 mark, you'll mostly be getting very weak laptops with Celeron processors. They'll work with Pro Tools for productivity purposes, but they'll be slow. You'll want to aim for at the very least an i3 processor. Here are some recommendations that fall into your price range, or slightly over it:
