Hi all,

I am planning to buy a new laptop. I am often travelling for work, therefore I am forced to use Revit and other 3D modeling softwares on a laptop, asking for strong performances.

I selected 2 models:
Asus N155JW-CN317H
Lenovo Y50-70

Asus one is newer, with newer processors and graphic card, but has an ordinary HDD drive (7.200rpm).
Lenovo one has slightly older processor and graphic card, but it offers an Hybrid SSHD drive (5.400rpm).

The price is very close, therefore I have to chose on the basis of better performances and/or reliability.

Any suggestion will be the most welcome

Many thanks

Paolo

Hi,

If your a person who's always on the go I would lean towards the Lenovo laptop which has a SSD. It's specification is not bad compare to the newer laptops and it would even match them. But you'll get your moneys worth with the laptop that has the SSD because i'm pretty sure you're aware what's the difference with a SSD vs HDD. Since you'll be travelling a lot go for reliability which is a laptop that has SSD.
