1_What is your budget? 750-1000

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15 or 16 inch

3_What screen resolution do you want? nothing specific

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? desktop replacement.. weight doesn't matter

5_How much battery life do you need? Doesn't have to be too amazing

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Have not played many pc games in a while as my desktop is aging. I like RPG's and I play football manager 10 alot.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.)

Will be getting into my first semester of classes for my major, which is computer sci, so I will need to be able to run all the programs for that.


8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

Nothing too crazy, externals TB are cheap these days.

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?

Hopefully it will last me my last 2-3 years of school.

My desktop motherboard just tanked and its aged anyways, so im looking to get something to replace it.

Also this ASUS model has better VGA but slower CPU:

So if you are going to game with med-low settings the HP model is the way to go,it has a faster CPU too which helps you in CPU-intensive apps like 3D rendering etc.
But if you want to play games at good settings then ASUS model would be a better choice
