I agree fill out the FAQ.

This is a good laptop, the GPU is midrange but current generation and i would be more than happy with it in my laptop...benchmarks are good, but there are better deals out there. For example, you dont have the best resolution, and for an 18.4" screen, i would expect better something like 1680x1050

i find that buying off known brands never returns the best deals although you do get brand guarantee
 
There is a Sager laptop that I link to often that comes with a 9800M GTS that would perform much better, has a better screen (17'' @ 1680x1050 or 1920x1200) and comes with a Blu-ray player for only around $1400-1500. I would take a look at that as well, if it's in your price range (which is why Maz says to fill out the FAQ)

1_What is your budget? up to 1300

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? larger screen the better

3_What screen resolution do you want? whatever is best for the size - like that 18.4 screen

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Portable

5_How much battery life do you need? Would like it to be able to run 4-5 hrs on battery while playing a video for trips.

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? It is not the reason I am buying it but I would like to if I choose - Id be looking at Crysis, Oblivion, and other high end games. Would like them to run on high, but medium settings are fine.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, surfing the web, playing music, watching movies, Etc.) Watching movies, surfing web, general school work, some video editing

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need? no real preference

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop? 2-3yrs

11_If you would like to mention some other things about purchasing your ideal laptop, post them. battery life is important as mentioned above. other than speed and a nice video card thats about it

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. I will go with whats the best at the time to fit my budget

Also a blue ray player in the laptop is not too important to me, if I want one I would most likely just put it in my desktop PC.
