Usually companies try to patent the most minor and useless "features" which leads to a lot of BS suits but I like this one. Its a cool feature and I don't recall any other search engine doing it prior to google (I may be wrong).

This is good to have on the books for when apple comes out with a similar tech and try to say they came up with it first. They don't make a search engine now but in the future who knows.

The only way for this to work is if they keep a record of your search patterns, enough said.
I like my privacy so F off Google.

Wrong. They can keep a record of common search patterns, totally anonymous. And privacy on internet like in reality doesn't really exist.

[citation][nom]maxwebb[/nom]good patent. i wonder who has a patent on automated form-filling based on prior form-filled data?[/citation]

because the patent above exists, it would nullify google's patent.
