Google Pixel 3a concerns

I am looking to upgrade from an iPhone 4. The Pixel 3a has good reviews but OS updates are limited. Is this an end of life concern because of the 5g network coming out?

You won't have any issue using the 3a for years, don't worry about 5g networks, 4g will still be supported for a long time.
