No, I have an sd card, but that was way before that

What does an SD card have to do with this - are you using the stock OS from Samsung or did you flash to something else (e.g. Cyanogenmod).

You can always try clearing the data and cache for Google Play, reboot, and then try again.

Because you don't have the Internet Connection, Check the both WIFI and Router, Start the Router, Restart the WiFi, Wait 30 seconds for the router and try again later, That helps.
