I agree that reading any document before you sign it is just common sense. I also have to agree that most people don't and deserve the consequences. That being said, just because it's in the EULA or TOS doesn't automatically make it legit. If I sell my client a piece of software and include in the EULA that they must hand over their first born child, I'd lose every time...even if said client signed the contract or clicked "I agree." Should people read their EULA's? of course. Are EULA's written in such a way that deters people from reading them (IE. very long and cryptic)??? You bet.

Deceptive practices 101: Bury anything unsavory in deep in a 20 page EULA/Contract.

Need, no. Like, yes.
I could take a book to bed if I feel like reading.
Sure I can walk around without music.
I can drift in meditation while on the bus.
etc etc.
It's just more enjoyable this way. But as everything, once getting into the habit of it, it just becomes normal and it's the same level of enjoyment(normal) that was prior to these tech advances. And with the advantage that: if tech comes temporarily, : )) which once normalized in everyday routine becomes a dependency, a disadvantage: if tech goes temporarily (battery dead), : ((

Isn't the anonymous tracking of the cell phone information similar to the capacitive loops in the freeways that anonymously track how fast we are going so Google Traffic can provide information to the cell phones that we don't want tracked?
