My laptop uses an nvidia graphics card for gaming and not gaming (browsing and watching movies). i never use graphics card from processor, and now i want to install driver for intel hd graphics and mean, when i am gaming using nvidia and when not gaming i use intel graphics. should i do that? Is it safe?

Solution
Installing the driver for the other graphics card/GPU should not effect the one you are using. Not unless, during the install, it changes the system to use the other card. Which you can then easily change back. The only other issue I could see your running into is if you are trying to install a driver that is not for your system. Just because there is a driver available doesn't mean it is will work for you or is needed by your system. So I would check on that before doing the install.
