Graphics card confusion

I have a laptop that has an intergrated intel card along with an external amd card. However I am unsure which card is being used. If I go into minecraft, which can detect the card you are using, it says I am using the amd card. However, if I disable the intel card,no games will launch at all. All my drivers are up to date. Can someone please tell me which card I am using, and if I am using the intergrated card, how to switch to the amd card. Thank you.

Hi,

Your Intel GPU is essential for your laptop to work. You can disable the AMD GPU and your laptop will still work just fine but you cannot disable the Intel GPU because your laptop will not work properly.
