So Frozenlead you say that even though the dual is 512gb each, that it will still beat the 1 gb solo card??

More memory does you no good if the GPU core behind it isn't powerful enough. A single mobility 3870 is about equal to a 9800M GT which is far superior to said 9600M GT you are asking about. 2 of those 3870's will by far smoke a single 9600M GT.

Agree. It's a common misconception that more graphics memory = better graphics card. More memory is really only useful as resolution increases, and, unless you're playing 1920x1200 or above, 1GB isn't really that necessary, though some would argue.

Okay gang, so as far as video editing is concerned, which would give me a better rendering a MacBook Pro (Please give me specs) or one of the aforementioned, let's say the dual 512 3870's?? (Don't forget I am still undecided :non: on trying to get my laptop).

Video editing does not use the GPU to process anything (...yet...GPGPU will come the next few years). You're depending upon the CPU and RAM there. Graphics cards are really only for gaming and 3D rendering.

In that case, though, I would find yourself a notebook with a Quad core and 4-8GB of RAM. (which cleanly puts you out of the macs...which I wouldn't recommend to anyone.)
