Gray display with vertical & horizontal lines.

Hello,
I have a new laptop Lenovo x230 core i5 4GB Ram & win7 pro. Suddenly the display becomes gray with vertical lines in upper half portion of the display & horizontal lines in bottom half of the display.. Thinkventage updates & microsoft updates are done. Also No virus issue.
What should be the reason???

I would contact lenovo, sounds like a bad LCD screen. If it's new, it should still be under warranty and they should replace it for you.
