GTX 675M on Alienware M15X?

Hello forum,

I am running an Alienware M15X, with i7 720qm, 16gb ram, GTX260m which i am planning to replace. I have recently taken from a friend a GTX675M (it was running on Alien M18x) but currently i am not sure if it fits my laptop. Do i have any chance of running this properly? Will i have to make any modifications (software or hardware?)



Any recommendations would be valuable to me! Thanks in advance..

It might work, googleing the two cards they look the same mounting hole wise. the GTX675m looks like it has a bigger GPU chip so the heatpipe/cooler might not cover the chip all the way, also might run into thermal issues since the cooler was not meant for that GPU
