Hackers Put Porn on Sesame Street's YouTube Channel

I hear about Youtube accounts getting hacked all the time.. Two channels I'm subscribed to got hacked earlier in the year.

Difference is that the main audience for this page was for children.

They can't even type in proper English. It's like watching stupidity unfold.
I wonder if Google will track back to them and carry out action, especially when this channel is aimed at younger age groups.

[citation][nom]the associate[/nom]So from now on every single time there is a hack somewhere on the net Anonymous and LulzSec are going to be mentioned?[/citation]

This. I've read the story yesterday night on several news websites, and Tom's Guide is first to somehow connect it all to LulzSec.

And I don't give a $h!t about [:amk-aka-phantom:1] guidelines [:amk-aka-phantom:1] ... this is a great prank! I just wish it was somehow done on actual TV kids channel... that'd be hilarious... who the hell watches YouTube kids channels? :heink:

[citation][nom]xenolalia[/nom]It is not an acceptable prank to place pornographic content on a web page oriented for young kids.[/citation]

There're no "acceptable" pranks. Someone will be pissed off every time.

[citation][nom]Admir00[/nom]It's a shame. amk-aka-phantom, I assume you don't have young kids.[/citation]

You assume correct. When I was a kid, I don't think I'd really give a $h!t about this...

[citation][nom]eddieroolz[/nom]I'm having a difficult time understanding who will gain from this.[/citation]

No one in particular... it's a prank! You don't "gain" from pranks, you have fun with them.

For once, someone actually came up with a good prank and now everyone is whining about how it's inappropriate and unacceptable. Grow up, whiners, kids WILL see pr0n whether you want it or not, sooner or later.

Good prank - you've got to be kidding. Just because some of us like to watch porn does not mean we have to subject young immature minds to it. I can't imagine having to explain to my 6 year old what he had just watched. AND having him learn inappropriate behaviors he is in no way mature enough to understand. This was a childish idiotic prank, plain and simple.

plot? what plot? the plot was full of holes! good thing google was all over the issue and got it fixed as ap.
this page hijacking was a dirty prank nontheless. must have traumatized some people. then again.. this is youtube.

THAT is why it's funny! xDDD

[citation][nom]stereopsis[/nom]I like to have a say in what my children learn.[/citation]

Then don't let them use the internets.

Bad luck the smart asses had it up there for around twenty minutes or so. That is a kids channel & I think that the hackers could even be partial to being peodophile like & even being one themselves. Hopefully it will not happen again & the hackers will be caught & checked out for being peodophiles.
