Is the drive recognized by BIOS?
Is your system working properly now? In case it is, you need to get the data off the drive and test it with a brand specific(or a third party one) testing tool, that will provide a SMART report.
In case your system won't boot and you have some data stored on the drive, you will need to attach it either internally(SATA&power cables) or externally via SATA to USB adapter. After that, you can try to access the drive right away or you can use some data recovery tool:
