Question Hard reset no disks.

Hello, I have bought a used HP laptop and it still has the past owners things on it and it was a day I logged into it and have now forgotten my password so I can't even log in to it. So can I hard reset it and start over. If I can how? I have tried the power and pressing F11 but it comes to a battery screen and then goes right to the windows. So that's not working
How can I fix this issue. So I can still use the laptop. Please help.

Doing a restore won't get you around the requirements. You need to contact the original owner and have them assist you in getting the password removed. If you purchased it from them, then there should be no problem contacting them again to have that done.
