Has my laptop come to the end?

Hey guys,

I think my laptop has come to its end.
Bought this boy for gaming purpose
Recently i started playing marvel heroes but it just doesnt seem to work.

Allow me to explain. At home i have 0 problems with my high end desktop so no complaint there. But when it comes to my laptop my dear god it feels terrible. Low fps, stuttering etc all this with all graphics turned down to the lowest

These are my specs: Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit System Model:Acer Aspire 8942G Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU M 430 @ 2.27GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz Memory: 6144MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Card name: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 Display Memory: 3762 MB

I know there not the best spec's in the world but not the whorst to.
Is there anything i can do or has the time come for me to get a new laptop ?

Maybe it's running hot? If it is, clean out the fans and apply thermal paste to the CPU and GPU. invest in a cooler pad. If the issue isn't heat, well, that is a very old, outdated GPU. If you're not keen on a new system, you could always upgrade the one you have: two matched memory sticks and an SSD ought to speed things up, particularly the SSD. That being said, it does seem to simply be outdated.
