Having problems connecting to the internet with my gateway 9300

I have a gateway 9300 laptop, It doesn't have any internet ports. How do I connect to the internet? I appreciate all the help. Thank you Joann

I guess you are referring to an ethernet port which would permit you to connect to a router (which is connected to the internet).

Your options are to add a USB to ethernet adapter or PCMCIA to ethernet adapter.

Or, if the router has wireless, a wireless adapter for the laptop in either USB or PCMCIA format.

That thing is ancient history. All that stuff fihart mention will not work because it running win95.

I meant win98 and it running on intel 440 chipset and not worth the effect to get the stuff unless to got free.

That laptop would support Win 98 or XP -- which will work with wireless and USB.

Of course, you have a good point as to whether it's worth the investment or effort.
