HDD recovery validation failed

HDD recovery validation failed for my acer aspire 7741z-5731 Windows 7. What do i do now?

What where you doing when you got the message? Were you doing a system restore? That message sounds like it's a failing hard drive, need to replace it and install Windows on that.

If you want to verify the drive is bad, the laptop may have a disk check utility in the BIOS you can run and there are several boot disk like Hirens or Ultimate Boot CD that have several disk check utilites.
