HDMI Arc issue

I have an LG 43UJ63 model tv my tv has the arc hdmi and the optical input however my Sanyo home theatre only has the standard hdmi hook up and I get no audio from my TV. Is there any thing I can do to get around this issue ?

Would you explain how you have them connected?

By the HDMI Arc in back of tv going to the HDMI input on the home theater.

Sounds right. On some TVs you have to enable the "ARC" in the setup. That's all I can think of at the moment.
