Hdmi to tv audio problem with aux audio output

I have my laptop connected to my new tv through HDMI, and my stereo connected through 3.5mm aux audio port. Sound will play through the tv but not the stereo. When i went to check my playback devices, i tested the HDMI audio device and it played through my stereo, but nothing else will.

Never mind, I feel like dumb ass, lol i had it connected to the wrong aux port
