HDMI Tv sound

Every time I plug in the hdmi cord into my acer laptop through to my TCL tv the sound comes from my laptop not my tv which is really annoying me. I tried everything through control panel nothing worked! I cant set the speakes as default for some reason. If anyone has any ideas that would be great thanks!

You need to set your sounds default playback device to HDMI which uses the sound from the graphics card. Yours is currently set to your "sound card"

Rt click the speaker symbol down by the system time/clock and the select Playback devices. You should spot the digital hdmi option easy enough
