Hey I went babysitting and took my headphones but they wasnt working on the laptop, i installed some drivers and got them working on there. But I just got home and they are not working on my computer? Like they work but they are SUPER quiet, my typing is louder. I tried reinstalling AMD chipset drivers, and all my nvidia drivers but they are still like this, what can I do!?

try the headphones with another device such as your phone or mp3 player. do they work fine?

if the above is true, completely remove any audio drivers from your pc and reinstall the correct ones. then check your volume levels in windows and in your application. if all looks good yet they still dont work other than very faintly and if the headphones work on another device then it may be trouble with the amplifier on your laptops soundcard.

in your original post you said they did NOT work correctly (low volume). assuming here that you've checked all your volume levels in windows and in the programs you're using and they are set to reasonable levels and that no matter what your adjustment there is its still low. also assuming that volume levels on your phone are much louder and normal. this is what i wanted you to test.

generally windows uninstall a program, find your audio drivers, uninstall. though before you do that i'd get the correct drivers from the laptop manufacturers website and have it ready to install.

i see, the laptop was working after drivers but the desktop is not working. replace laptop with desktop in my previous post then.

yes, its odd behavior however everything must be checked out to root out any other causes. also check the front and rear ports on the pc.
