Hello everyone!
for the past 6 months or so i have been using the G501 Bloody headset. Although i am satisfied with the audio quality the virtual 7.1 was not good enough for me i guess. So after a long research i have decided to ask someone that knows something more than me about audio.
I am looking for a headset/headphones for CS:GO that would allow me to hear the enemies. Should i buy a real 7.1 headset or focus on some headphones? I also would like to know if i should buy a sound card and if buying one would help me to hear. Price range : 50-200 $.
(I was thinking about the Siberia v2 but i read on forums that i should not buy it.)

i'm thinking you'd be looking for something with a wider soundstage and better positional audio.

if you do not mind a bass-light sound (which actually gives an advantage in fps games at the expense of being a bit less "fun") the ad500x or ad700x are great choices with HUGE soundstages. i'd pair them with either a xonar dg or cheap creative card (depending on if you like dolby headphone or cmss3d/sbx better). you can youtube the different types of surround to get a feel for how they sound.

now there are other options if you wanted at least a little bass (such as the hd598) though i recommended the widest/best positional audio cans in your budget first since it seems that is what mattered most.
