Headphones only play in one ear

My headphones only play in one ear. I have tried changing headphones but the problem persists. I have just got a new Pc - Lenovo H515. Any suggestions appreciated.

Do the headphones do this on all devices or only your laptop?

Does the sound only come out of 1 of the internal speakers when you play audio through them?

Hi henners342, I have now tried the headphones on my phone and discovered inadvertently that if I lean my head to the right I get audio in both ears. I then tried this method in the PC and same result. Possibly some faulty wiring?

Possible the headphone wires are going out. It's the #1 cause of headphone death for me, the wires just break right at the strain relief. One last thing to try is making sure the plug is all the way in, sometimes it can get just a wee bit out of the jack and lose one channel while looking fully connected.
