I have been trying to hook up my XBOX headset to the TV via the red and white sockets at the back of my TV. No sound came through (regarding gameplay) so i am assuming these ports are IN only, not out. Trying to use an AV SCART cable (to resolve this) I found that the back of the tv (which has a little "lip") was formed in such a way that if i put cables into the SCART converter it will bend the plug in cables (because of the lip). Is there some way to convert the red and white IN ports to OUT ports so i can use my headset for my xbox for gameplay sound???

The ports should be labelled audio in or out. Usually TVs only offer in. Controversial, but you could also check the instructions.

There is no label of in or out. The instructions are useless.

The lip on the back of the TV means i can't plug in any jacks into the back of the SCART cable without them bending. Same goes for if i want to connect to jacks together (e.g. many jacks for the headphones come with connectors leading off of them so i can plug another jack into the same port).
