Hello, I just put a security password on my Galaxy S4 and cant remove it.

I just put a security password on my Galaxy S4 but I don't like it. I can't find the feature to remove it. I go back to settings, More, Security, but no one home I cant find were to change or remove it Can any one help please.

It should be identical to turning it on. You'll need to enter it once more even though the phone is unlocked. Then just tell it to turn off.

Thanks for the input. the problem is when i set up the password i selected under security and encryption now when I go back it will encrypt the info on the phone but no option to remove the open/start password.

Do exactly what you did to turn it on. After inputting the correct password, you should have the option to turn it off.

People say that you then have the option to turn it off but you don't have the option from these instructions. I'm having the same issue. Once you enter the password again. there is no option to turn it off.

You do on the phones I've had. Enter password, then just do exactly what you did it turn it on, only backwards. So either telling it no, or changing it to something else other then password protect.

I'll close this zombie thread now though.
