Help connecting Samsung sound bar to LG TV

Hello fellow technos, I have had to send my Samsung TV back due to them not having certs to run BBC apps. This now means I have a Samsung HW-J450 Bluetooth sound bar and an LG 49UF770v 4K TV. I am having issues connecting the bar to the TV.
Clearly the TV doesn't have Bluetooth so I have used the HDMI connection. However it doesn't connect.
Any ideas?
HDMI is labelled out TV, I have an optical port on the sound bar marked optical IN.
Do you think this may work?
Where is the best place to get an optical cable from?

That TV has an optical audio output according to the web page. The soundbar has an optical input and the users manual says it came with an optical input cable. Use the optical connection.
