Help! Dell laptop will not turn on

My dell laptop will not turn on. Worked fine yesterday morning but i had to mash the power button to turn it on. Now it will not turn on. I have tried removing the battery and AC cord and holding the power button but i did not work. The charger light stays lit when plugged in also. Thank you.

Try removing the battery and turning it on without the battery.

Could be that the button is faulty, or if there's a cable that runs from it to the board, that cable could be bad.

Can you power it on using the charger by itself (battery removed) like RageGamingZone suggested?
