Help !! Display Off!! Black scree!

Hey Folks,

Yesterday I left my laptop on sleep mode , today when I turned it on:
1. Keyboard works , webcam light is on .
2. But screen is black , nothing is displayed ... even no pointers.
3. When I connect to other monitor using HDMI , it works.
4. There is windows sound while turning on the laptop .

How to resolve the issue ?

Did you press the mouse button to wake it up?

But if a monitor displays something it sounds like its dead or something / backlight has died in the screen
