hey guys... I have one question for the brains trust...

I need to know peoples opinions on the latest smart phones around (inc. stuff proposed for early 2010, eg. X10)....

I have heard that the X10 and the new iphone are all coming out soon and would like people to take this into consideration.

I have an X1 and OMG I hate windows Mobile... it is RUBBISH... so sluggish and really really frustating to use. If SE came out with another phone with WINMO on it I would have sworn off them forever... it has been the bane of my existence... unable to answer phone calls... ringing for 1 ring and hanging up.... inability to view websites properly (but few can)... doing anything on the X1 takes ages and the IPHONE just seems to have doing things on it down pat....

I dont want to just get an iphone when it comes out if there is something better out there... I have done some research and sifted thru alot of junk and old posts... it seems that the front runners are the Nexus One and the X10 versus the Iphone 4 (what ever its called)..

Currently the issues i have with the 3gs iphone is the internal storage size (I need 60gig approx to warrant getting rid of my ipod which houses my photos as well as music)... currently the X10 can only be upgraded to a 32 gig external card which isnt quite enough... but it isnt a deal breaker... the other issue is the camera... i do use the phone on my phone regularly... and as i found out after i purchased it the X1 doesnt zoom when set to 3megapixels so basically its just a crappy 3meg camera phone... I like the fact that the x10 has an 8meg camera but id be happy with a 5 meg camera of the nexus one...

ok enough of the ramblings i have if anyone can give me some advice on some phones to watch out for? hunt a review for all would be great help....

thanks again guys and I hope to hear from you guys soon....

Keep your ipod, dont replace it with a phone. save your phone battery for calling, texting, web, etc. X10 is a great phone, but I am a lover of android, so look into some of those. Like the almighty Nexus.

isn't the X10 an android phone? I think the only real issue I have with the X10 is the storage capacity of it... (other minor issues are the inability to use external storage for any apps on android and the non OLED screen)

I am starting to think that as long as I can store my photos on a phone that has a good sized screen I'll be happy as using my phone for an mp3 player as well does seem like an excessive use of battery... the X1 battery died so quick and i didnt use that as an MP3 player.

thanks for the response...

as much as I dont want too (for the sole reason Id be part of the pack) .. the new iphone will probably have a large enough storage capacity (by all reports)... basically I want a Nexus One screen and OS running on an X10 with the ease of use, storage size and apps availability of an Iphone (new one)...

thanks for the tip tho..

The Archos phone will more than likely come with large internal memory - at least 16GB up to 32GB. If they have Micro-SD support then it would likely support up to 64GBtotal memory.

It's supposedto be a media centric Android phone.
