help installing apps

Please help!!!!!! I'm just about at my wit's end,trying to reinstall an app. I have a 16 gig SD card on my nextbook android tablet.Whenever I try to install anything I get an error message stating there is insufficient room on the device. Please answer me directly, I am not a computer tech . Put all and we s in layman's terms.I feel like pitching this thing in the trash!!!!?!!!

The programs will install to the internal memory, not to the card. The low end tablets and phones don't have a lot of on-board storage and run into those errors. You can go to the program manager in settings and see what programs will allow you to move them to the card to free space, or remove some programs you don't use.
