HELP! Is my Backlight dead?? TV Model 22LV610U-T not working anymore

I have a 3 to 4 year old Toshiba flat screen TV that recently died. When you turn it on the front green led stays comes on and stays on as it should, along with the toshiba name light. The channel box/input shows up for a split second in the lower right of screen and then disappears. Screen is black. Is the backlight dead? Thanks for any input!

Maybe backlight but could be a bad system board. For a 22" TV, it would be cheaper to replace it with something working, even if it's used.

Replace the part or take it to a repair shop to test it. Which would cost you about the same as replacing the set.
