help me find my files

i reset my acer laptop to factory settings then restored backup but cant find it I see it there but can't figure out how to access them

they probably got wiped, that's what a factory reset does - resets your computer's state to what it was when it was new.
your files might still be recoverable, you'll have to take the laptop to a computer tech to see if anything can be.

most important (and most often ignored) advice i always give out: backup your data!

so I restored a backup and I can see the files but cant retrieve them. So its off to a tech. thanks for your response.
