So I got my laptop out today, turned it on everything was normal it got onto the home screen, was a little slow, I opened chrome and then chrome stopped working and made the whole screen freeze, so I Ctrl+Alt+Esc and it gets stuck on a black screen..., so after waiting I hold the power button and repower it, the screen comes up saying it needs to repair (Recommended) or start normally, I started normally which took me to the Repair screen anyway, and it loaded for a while made me choose my country, loaded again then took me to another screen which I chose the one where it picks another image from a later backup date but then it gets stuck on a screen with just my mouse for ages and does nothing,

here's some pictures!

Would be great if someone knew how to fix this! (I have tryed restarting again and selecting the (repair) but it just does the same

EDIT; Currently still stuck on the screen with the mouse which I can move around the screen, been stuck on this screen for about an hour and a half

I went into BIOS settings couldn't see anything to load it up, got into the screen for safe mode but still even if I load into that it still takes me to that repair screen as shown on these pics;

Edit; Now doing a Startup Repair and it says "Atempting Repairs" "Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour to complete" lol, currently waited 11 hours on this screen, surely if it was going to fix it it would have done it by now right?

All you should of done is selected the directory restore services mode from the windows 7 os boot menu.
Via pressing the F8 key upon the laptop starting to boot from windows.

You should of let that complete.

Restarted the system and again accessed the windows 7 os boot menu options via the F8 key and selected last known good configuration.

It should not take 11 hours to do a repair from a system restore disk.
If it does it suggests the whole problem is to do with the Hard disk drive of your laptop having physical faults with it in relation to fixed hardware errors of the disk platter of the drive.

Possibly during transit of the laptop, or it was placed under a heavy weight or subjected to dropping.

So what do you suppose I do? Shall I click cancel and shut it down as I have been waiting for it to 'attempt repairs' for 11 hours, but once I cancel what do I do, I just want to fix this and be able to start up my laptop
