Help me make my PC VR ready

My brother gave me his pc when he went off to college and I've been wanting to play vr games for forever now. I checked if his pc was vr ready with the steam vr test thing and it said it wasn't.. Could someone so kindly tell me what I have to upgrade in order to play vr games at a moderate fps? Here are the current specs:

AMD Radeon RX 560
AMD FX-6300
8GB Hyper X Fury DDR3
Gigabyte AMD AM3+ ga78lmt-usb3 r2
450W power supply

It would also help if you could explain things in layman's terms. I'm not really that tech savvy lol
